Target Information
Orexin B is a neuropeptide that plays a significant role in regulating food intake and sleep–wakefulness, coordinating behavioral and physiological responses involved in homeostasis. It is also implicated in energy metabolism, autonomic function, hormonal balance, and body fluid regulation.
Orexin-A binds to both OX1R and OX2R with high affinity, while Orexin-B binds selectively to OX2R with similar high affinity.
