Steroidogenic factor-1 (SF-1)는 내분비계 기관의 발달과 분화에 관여하는 오르펀 핵 수용체입니다.
SF-1은 시상하부, 뇌하수체, 생식선 및 부신의 태아기 발달에 필수적인 역할을 하며, cytochrome P450 계열의 여러 스테로이드 생성 효소의 전사 활성화를 촉진합니다.
또한 SF-1은 AF1과 AF2로 명명된 두 개의 활성화 기능 도메인을 포함하며, 이는 다른 핵 수용체 및 공동활성인자(coactivators), 공동억제인자(corepressors)와의 상호작용에 필요합니다.
이에는 steroid receptor coactivator-1 (SRC-1), glucocorticoid receptor interacting protein 1 (GRIP1), cAMP response element binding protein (CREB) binding protein (CBP), silencing mediator of retinoid acid and thyroid hormone receptor (SMRT) 등이 포함됩니다.
