Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Steroidogenic factor-1 (SF-1) is an orphan nuclear receptor involved in organ development and differentiation of the endocrine system.
SF-1 is essential for fetal development of the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, gonads, and adrenal gland.
It promotes transcriptional activity of many steroidogenic enzymes from the cytochrome P450 family.
SF-1 contains two activation function domains (AF1 and AF2), necessary for interaction with nuclear receptors and coactivators such as SRC-1, GRIP1, CREB binding protein (CBP), and SMRT.
