Description:
The eBio299Arm monoclonal antibody is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood and mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Violet™ 786 (BV786) emits at 786 nm and is intended for use with a violet (405 nm) laser. Ensure the cytometer is capable of detecting this fluorochrome.

Buffer Recommendations:
When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
This dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark. BV786 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

Isotype control antibodies serve as negative controls to distinguish specific antibody binding from background signal. They help identify non-specific staining due to Fc receptor binding, cell autofluorescence, or non-specific interactions.
Isotype controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody and, when directly labeled, use the same fluorochrome for best results.
Commonly used in flow cytometry, ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shift assays.
