Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
ATP citrate lyase (ACLY) is the primary enzyme responsible for the synthesis of cytosolic acetyl-CoA in many tissues.
It is a tetramer with an approximate molecular weight of 440,000, composed of identical subunits.
The enzyme catalyzes the formation of acetyl-CoA and oxaloacetate from citrate and CoA, accompanied by ATP hydrolysis to ADP and phosphate.
Acetyl-CoA produced by ACLY is essential in lipogenesis, cholesterogenesis, and acetylcholine biosynthesis in nervous tissue.
Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.
