Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve an antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The PTPRE gene encodes a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, which regulates diverse cellular processes such as cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation.
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants exist:
- A receptor-type isoform with short extracellular domain, single transmembrane region, and two tandem catalytic domains.
- A nonreceptor-type isoform with a distinct hydrophilic N-terminus.
Studies in mice suggest that PTPRE plays regulatory roles in RAS-related signal transduction pathways, cytokine-induced SATA signaling, and activation of voltage-gated K⁺ channels.
