Target Information
DYKDDDDK tag, also known as FLAG tag, is an eight–amino acid peptide (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) widely used as a protein tag for purification, detection, and localization.
It can be fused to either the N- or C-terminus of a protein, facilitating identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies.
The FLAG tag is favored for its hydrophilic nature, minimizing protein denaturation and maintaining activity.
