Product Specific Information
Antibody detects endogenous levels of Mre11 only when phosphorylated at Ser676.
Target Information
MRE11 (double-strand break repair protein MRE11) is a component of the MRN complex, which plays a central role in double-strand break repair, DNA recombination, maintenance of telomere integrity, and meiosis.
The complex possesses single-stranded endonuclease activity and double-strand-specific 3′–5′ exonuclease activity provided by MRE11.
RAD50 is required to bind DNA ends and hold them in close proximity. Mutations in the gene could result in ataxia-telangiectasia-like disorder 1.
