Target Information
Beta-actin is one of six actin isoforms found in humans. It is a non-muscle cytoskeletal protein expressed in all human cell types and plays a key role in cell motility, structure, and integrity.
Polymerization of globular actin (G-actin) forms filamentous actin (F-actin) with a two-stranded helical structure.
Due to its ubiquitous expression, beta-actin is widely used as a loading control in protein detection assays such as Western blotting.
Antibodies against beta-actin are valuable tools for studying cytoskeletal organization and dynamics.
