Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous RPGR protein at molecular weights of 70, 83, 90, 113, and 127 kDa.
Purity is >95% by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The RPGR gene encodes a protein containing six RCC1-like domains (RLDs), characteristic of guanine nucleotide exchange factors.
The protein localizes to the Golgi body and interacts with RPGRIP1. It is essential for rod photoreceptor viability and mutations are associated with X-linked retinitis pigmentosa (XLRP).
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, encoding different isoforms, with only some full-length forms determined.
