- Detects endogenous UHRF1 protein at molecular weights of approximately 90 and 110 kDa.
- Purity >95% by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
UHRF1 encodes a member of the RING-finger type E3 ubiquitin ligase subfamily.
This protein binds specific DNA sequences and recruits histone deacetylase to regulate gene expression.
Its expression peaks at late G1 phase and continues through G2 and M phases, playing a major role in the G1/S transition by regulating topoisomerase IIα and retinoblastoma gene expression.
It also functions in the p53-dependent DNA damage checkpoint.
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
