Product Specific Information

The M1/70 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD11b (integrin alphaM, 165–170 kDa). CD11b associates with CD18 to form Mac-1 (αMβ2 integrin) and binds to CD54 (ICAM-1), C3bi, and fibrinogen.
Mac-1 is expressed by macrophages, NK cells, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, and mouse B-1 cells. M1/70 also cross-reacts with human CD11b, detecting this antigen on monocytes, granulocytes, and NK cells.

Target Information

CD11b (integrin alpha-M, ITGAM) forms a heterodimer with CD18 (integrin beta-2) known as Mac-1 or CR3.
Expressed on monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, NK cells, dendritic cells, and microglia.
Functions as a receptor for ICAM-1, ICAM-2, ICAM-4, CD14, CD50, CD23, heparin, iC3b, fibrinogen, and Factor X, mediating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions.
Used as a microglial marker and involved in monocyte maturation.
Associated with systemic lupus erythematosus and ITGAM-related susceptibility disorders.
