Product Specific Information
- This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
- This antibody has specificity for Human ATF1/Protein TREB36.
Target Information
The ATF1 gene encodes an activating transcription factor belonging to the ATF subfamily and bZIP (basic-region leucine zipper) family. It regulates downstream target genes involved in cellular growth, survival, and other physiological processes.
ATF1 is phosphorylated at serine 63 by various kinases, enhancing its transactivation and transcriptional activities and promoting cell transformation.
Fusion of ATF1 with FUS (chromosome 16) or EWSR1 (chromosome 22) generates chimeric proteins found in angiomatoid fibrous histiocytoma and clear cell sarcoma.
A pseudogene is located on chromosome 6.
