In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Integrin alpha 2, alpha 4, alpha 5, alpha E, alpha M, alpha V, and alpha X is observed.

Target Information

ITGA3 (Integrin, Alpha-3) — also known as CD49C, VLA3, or GAPB3 — is encoded by the ITGA3 gene. This integrin alpha subunit is part of the family of cell surface adhesion molecules and is mapped to chromosome 17q21.33.
ITGA3 forms half of the α3β1 integrin complex, which plays a role in neural migration and corticogenesis alongside the β1 subunit.
A functional link between DAB1 phosphorylation and ITGA3 signaling regulates neuronal detachment from radial glial fibers. Expression of human ITGA3 enhances viral infectivity in Chinese hamster ovary cells.
The protein contains 13 potential N-glycosylation sites, 2 cleavage sites, and 7 N-terminal repeating units characteristic of integrins. Recombinant ITGA3 appears as a 150-kDa protein, similar in size to its native form in Western blot analysis.
