Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Serpin A1, A3, A4, mouse Serpin A5, human Serpin C1, mouse Serpin D1, and human Serpin F2 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
SERPINA5 encodes a serine proteinase inhibitor (serpin) that serves as the principal inhibitor of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) and urokinase (uPA), functioning as an inhibitor of fibrinolysis.
Defects in this gene cause plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 deficiency (PAI-1 deficiency), and elevated levels are associated with thrombophilia.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
