This antibody detects endogenous levels of MuSK only when phosphorylated at Tyr755.
Target Information
MUSK plays an important and selective role in skeletal muscle development and function, particularly in postsynaptic differentiation and end-plate band formation in cooperation with Rapsyn.
It is part of the agrin signaling complex and contributes to the development and maintenance of the neuromuscular junction.
Receptor tyrosine kinase activity of MuSK is regulated by ligand binding to its extracellular domain.
