Target Information

TROP2 is a carcinoma-associated antigen defined by the monoclonal antibody GA733. It belongs to a family of type I membrane proteins and functions as a cell surface receptor that transduces intracellular calcium signals. Mutations in the TROP2 gene cause gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by severe corneal amyloidosis leading to blindness.
