This antibody detects endogenous levels of total FGR protein.
Target Information
FGR is a SRC-related kinase present in hematopoietic cells. It signals within multiple pathways, including integrin and downstream chemokine/cytokine receptor pathways. The protein includes N-terminal sites for myristylation and palmitoylation, a PTK domain, and SH2/SH3 domains that mediate protein-protein interactions. FGR localizes to plasma membrane ruffles and negatively regulates cell migration and adhesion triggered by beta-2 integrin signaling. Epstein-Barr virus infection can cause overexpression of this protein.
