This antibody detects endogenous levels of total EAR2 / NR2F6 protein.
Target Information
Transcription factor predominantly involved in transcriptional repression. Binds to promoter/enhancer response elements containing imperfect 5'-AGGTCA-3' direct or inverted repeats, recognized by other nuclear hormone receptors. Modulates hormonal responses and represses transcriptional activity of genes such as LHCGR, REN, and OXT. Regulates thyroid hormone receptor activity in a cell type-specific manner and inhibits NFATC transcription factor DNA binding. Acts as a transcriptional repressor of IL-17 expression in Th-17 differentiated CD4(+) T cells, potentially contributing to immune tolerance and autoimmunity. Plays a role in forebrain circadian clock development and is required early in the development of the locus coeruleus.
