Amino Acid Sequence (recombinant protein):

Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine CXCL16. The anti-Murine CXCL16-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography using an immobilized Murine CXCL16 matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Murine CXCL16 by sandwich ELISA, use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody (100 µL/well). In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine CXCL16 (500-P201GBt) as a detection antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine CXCL16.

Western Blot:
For detection of Murine CXCL16 by Western blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Murine CXCL16 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under both reducing and non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

CXCL16 is a member of the CXC chemokine family and signals through the CXCR6 receptor. It may play a role in attracting lymphocyte subsets during inflammation and facilitating immune responses.
The CXCL16 gene encodes a 273 amino acid polypeptide, including a 29 amino acid cytoplasmic domain and a transmembrane sequence (~20 amino acids). The extracellular domain contains a chemokine domain and a mucin-like stalk sequence, comprising 89 amino acid residues (86 for the murine homolog).
