Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human CXCL16. Anti-Human CXCL16-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hCXCL16 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human CXCL16 (500-P200) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hCXCL16.

Western Blot:
To detect Human CXCL16 by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human CXCL16 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

CXCL16 is a member of the CXC chemokine family and signals through the CXCR6 receptor. It may play a role in attracting lymphocyte subsets during inflammation and facilitate immune responses. The chemokine domain contains six cysteine residues, including four highly conserved ones characteristic of CXC chemokines. The CXCL16 gene encodes a 273 amino acid polypeptide with a 29 amino acid cytoplasmic domain and a transmembrane sequence of approximately 20 amino acids. The extracellular portion includes a chemokine domain and a mucin-like stalk sequence, with 89 amino acid residues (86 for the murine homolog).
