For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during various stages of the cell cycle, particularly in late G1, S, G2, and M phases. It contains a forkhead-associated (FHA) domain that allows association with euchromatin at the perichromosomal layer, centromeric heterochromatin, and nucleolus.
Ki-67 shows cell cycle-dependent localization: perinucleolar in G1, nuclear matrix in G2, and chromosomal during M phase.
Since Ki-67 is absent in G0 cells but increases from G1 through mitosis, it serves as a reliable proliferation marker. Ki-67 antibodies help determine the growth fraction in neoplasms, with low Ki-67 indices correlating with low-grade tumors. It is also widely used as a neuronal marker for cell cycling and proliferation studies.
