For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during the active phases of the cell cycle (late G1, S, G2, and M phases). It contains a forkhead-associated (FHA) domain that mediates association with euchromatin at the perichromosomal layer, centromeric heterochromatin, and nucleolus.
Expression of Ki-67 varies through the cell cycle: perinucleolar in G1, nuclear matrix in G2, and chromosomal during mitosis.
As a proliferation marker, Ki-67 is absent in G0 cells but increases progressively from G1 through mitosis. It is widely used to determine the growth fraction of neoplastic tissues, correlating with tumor grade and prognosis. Ki-67 is also used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.
