Antibody detects endogenous levels of total HUNK.
Target Information
HUNK (serine/threonine kinase, hormonally up-regulated Neu-associated kinase) is a member of the mitogen-activated protein kinase family essential for mammary tumor metastasis.
HUNK deletion in mice does not affect viability, fertility, longevity, or tumor development, and it is dispensable for murine development.
HUNK participates in vesicular transport and regulates endocytosis via interaction with rabaptin-5 protein, inducing changes in mammary glands during pregnancy.
Expression has been documented in mouse brain, breast, embryo, and fetus. ESTs have been isolated from several human tissue libraries, including normal ear.
