Antibody detects endogenous levels of EFNB1 only when phosphorylated at Tyr313/317.

Target Information

EFNB1 is a cell surface transmembrane ligand for Eph receptors, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases crucial for migration, repulsion, and adhesion during neuronal, vascular, and epithelial development. It binds Eph receptors on adjacent cells, leading to bidirectional signaling—forward signaling via the receptor and reverse signaling via the ephrin ligand. EFNB1 interacts with EPHA4, EPHA3, and EPHB4, and together with EPHB4 plays a central role in heart morphogenesis and angiogenesis through regulation of cell adhesion and migration. EPHB4-mediated forward signaling controls cellular repulsion and segregation from EFNB2-expressing cells and may influence axon orientation.
