Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, it forms the nucleosome structure. Histones play key roles in transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability. The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo post-translational modifications such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, which influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
