Product Specific Information
The mCD30.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD30, a 105–120 kDa member of the TNFR superfamily.
CD30 is not detectable on splenocytes but can be upregulated on T cells stimulated in vitro through TCR, peaking around day 4–5 post-activation. It is expressed by both CD8⁺ and CD4⁺ activated cells and is suggested to regulate cytokine secretion and T cell development.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Tested on resting and activated mouse splenocytes at ≤1 µg/test
- Recommended Use: Carefully titrate for optimal performance
- Excitation: 488–561 nm
- Emission: 578 nm
- Laser Compatibility: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green Laser
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered
Target Information
CD30 (Ki-1, TNF Receptor Superfamily Member 8) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the TNF receptor superfamily.
Originally identified on Hodgkin’s and Reed-Sternberg cells using monoclonal antibody Ki-1, its ligand is CD30L (CD153). CD30-CD30L interaction mediates cell proliferation, activation, differentiation, and apoptotic cell death.
CD30 plays a critical role in:
- Hodgkin’s disease and CD30⁺ lymphomas
- Thymic negative selection as a costimulatory molecule
- Expression on activated T and B cells, virus-infected lymphocytes, and embryonal carcinomas
Soluble CD30 (sCD30) serves as a marker of Th2 immune response.
TRAF2 and TRAF5 interact with CD30, activating NF-κB signaling.
It acts as a positive regulator of apoptosis, limiting autoreactive CD8 effector T cells and preventing autoimmunity.
Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
