Target Information

FZD4 is a member of the frizzled gene family, encoding seven-transmembrane domain receptors for Wingless-type MMTV integration site signaling proteins. Most frizzled receptors are coupled to the beta-catenin canonical signaling pathway.
FZD4 acts as a positive regulator of Wnt signaling and is widely expressed in heart, skeletal muscle, ovary, and fetal kidney. Transcripts have also been detected in liver, kidney, pancreas, spleen, fetal lung, and smaller amounts in placenta, adult lung, prostate, testis, colon, and fetal brain.
