Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies. These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets.
Unlike traditional polyclonal antibodies, recombinant Superclonal™ antibodies have a known mixture of light and heavy chains that can be consistently reproduced in every lot, eliminating biological variability.
Note: Formerly called “Recombinant polyclonal antibody”, this product is now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ antibody”. The physical product and performance remain unchanged.
Target Information
The ATR protein is a serine/threonine kinase and DNA damage sensor that activates cell cycle checkpoint signaling upon DNA stress. It phosphorylates and activates several proteins involved in DNA replication inhibition, mitosis regulation, DNA repair, recombination, and apoptosis. ATR is critical for fragile site stability and centrosome duplication.
Mutations in this gene are associated with Seckel syndrome 1.
