Description:
The eBio1D3 (1D3) monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells during all developmental stages except terminally differentiated plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, and MHC class II, associating with the BCR to mediate signaling, tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal concentration should be titrated for specific assay conditions.

Fluorochrome Information:
eFluor® 506 is excited with a 405 nm violet laser and emits at 506 nm. Recommended detection filter: 510/20 band pass or equivalent. Ensure instrument compatibility.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells and some myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 serves as a key regulator of normal and malignant B cell proliferation and is expressed in all B cell precursor leukemias. It functions as a signal-amplifying co-receptor for the BCR and can signal independently. Mutations in CD19 cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
