Product Specific Information

The HIB19 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells during all developmental stages except plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, associating with the B cell receptor (BCR). Signaling through CD19 induces tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B cell proliferation.
The SJ25C1 and HIB19 antibodies recognize overlapping epitopes.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use 5 µL (0.5 µg) per 100 µL test volume, with 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test recommended.

eFluor® 506 is excited by the 405 nm violet laser and emits at 506 nm. Recommended detection filter: 510/20 band pass or equivalent.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains, expressed on nearly all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. It is a key regulator of B cell activation and proliferation, functioning as a signal-amplifying co-receptor with the BCR. Mutations in CD19 cause hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression leads to B cell hyperactivity.
