Target Information
Humanin은 알츠하이머병 관련 뇌에서 발견된 24 아미노산 길이의 새로운 폴리펩타이드로, 미토콘드리아 16S rRNA와 99% 상동성을 보입니다. 신경 보호 및 세포 보호 기능을 가지며, 베타 아밀로이드와 FAD 유전자에 의해 유도되는 신경세포 사멸을 억제합니다. 또한 Bcl-2/Bax 계열 단백질과 결합하여 항아폽토시스 작용을 나타내며, JAK/STAT 신호 경로를 활성화하고 TRIM11에 의해 조절됩니다. IGFBP-3과 상호작용하여 교종세포에서 IGFBP-3 유도 세포 사멸을 차단하며, 결장 및 고환에서도 발현됩니다.
