Target Information
Humanin은 알츠하이머병 관련 뇌에서 발견된 24 아미노산 길이의 신경 보호 및 세포 보호 펩타이드입니다. 이 단백질은 미토콘드리아 16S rRNA와 99% 상동성을 가지며, β-아밀로이드 및 FAD 유전자에 의해 유도되는 신경세포 사멸을 억제합니다. 또한 Bcl-2/Bax 계열의 친사멸 단백질과 결합하여 항사멸 기능을 수행하며, JAK/STAT 신호 경로를 활성화하고 TRIM11에 의해 조절됩니다. IGFBP-3과 상호작용하여 교모세포종 세포의 IGFBP-3 유도 세포사멸을 억제합니다. Humanin은 대장 및 고환에서도 발현됩니다.
