Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of PTP1B only when phosphorylated at Serine 50.
Target Information
PTP1B (PTPN1) is a tyrosine-protein phosphatase that regulates the endoplasmic reticulum unfolded protein response. It mediates dephosphorylation of EIF2AK3/PERK and inactivates its kinase activity. PTP1B also participates in CKII- and p60c-src-induced signal transduction, regulates EFNA5-EPHA3 signaling for cell reorganization, and modulates hepatocyte growth factor receptor signaling via MET dephosphorylation.
