• Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
  Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Mouse, Rat, Dog, Bovine, Bat, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Horse, Rabbit, Pig (100%);
  Opossum, Platypus (94%); Marmoset (88%).

• For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
  After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

Target Information

The WNT gene family encodes secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as cell fate regulation and patterning during embryogenesis.
This gene, WNT8B, shows 95%, 86%, and 71% amino acid identity to the mouse, zebrafish, and Xenopus Wnt8B proteins, respectively.
Expression is restricted to the developing brain in both human and mouse.
The gene is located on chromosome 10q24 and has been suggested as a candidate gene for partial epilepsy.
