Target Information
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes encoding secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes such as cell fate regulation and patterning during embryogenesis.
This gene encodes a protein showing 94% amino acid identity to the mouse Wnt5b protein and 80% to the human WNT5A protein.
Alternative splicing of this gene generates two transcript variants.
