Target Information
Epitope tags are useful tools to localize gene products, study protein topology and complexes, and identify associated or low-abundance proteins when specific antibodies are unavailable.
The V5 epitope tag originates from the paramyxovirus of simian virus 5 (SV5) and consists of 14 amino acids (GKPIPNPLLGLDST). It can also be used as a shorter 9 amino acid sequence (IPNPLLGLD).
