Product Specific Information

The monoclonal rat IgG2a is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
This eBR2a antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
It has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes.
Use the isotype control at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Fluorophore characteristics:
PE-eFluor® 610 can be excited with laser lines from 488–561 nm and emits at 607 nm.
Recommended filter: 610/20 band pass (equivalent to PE-Texas Red®).
Ensure instrument compatibility before use.

Light sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency. Clone-specific performance should be determined empirically.

Excitation / Emission / Laser:
488–561 nm excitation; 607 nm emission; compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

Rat IgG2a is an immunoglobulin subclass produced by the rat immune system.
It activates complement and mediates antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC).
Molecular weight: approximately 160 kDa (two heavy chains, two light chains).
Commonly used as a control or reference antibody in rat model experiments, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry.
