This affinity purified antibody specifically recognizes the phosphorylated form of human CDC27 at residue pS426. It shows minimal reactivity with non-phosphorylated CDC27 and does not cross-react with CDC27 phosphorylated at other sites.
BLAST analysis indicates reactivity with human, rat, dog, chicken, and chimpanzee CDC27 proteins (100% homology). Possible cross-reactivity with mouse CDC27 (89% homology). Cross-reactivity with other species has not been determined.

Target Information

The CDC27 protein shares strong similarity with yeast proteins Cdc27 (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and nuc2 (Schizosaccharomyces pombe). It is a component of the Anaphase-Promoting Complex (APC), a conserved multi-subunit complex that catalyzes cyclin B-ubiquitin conjugate formation, leading to ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis of B-type cyclins.
CDC27 and other APC components contain TPR (tetratricopeptide repeat) domains, essential for protein-protein interactions. CDC27 interacts with mitotic checkpoint proteins including Mad2, p55CDC, and BUBR1, contributing to mitosis timing regulation.
Alternative splicing generates multiple isoforms of this gene.
