Product Specific Information

Description:
The eBio17B7 antibody reacts with mouse and rat IL-17A without recognizing IL-17F. IL-17A is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine promoting inflammatory responses and is elevated in rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection. It induces expression of ICAM-1 and secretion of IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF, and PGE2 in various cell types, and supports hematopoietic progenitor proliferation and neutrophil maturation.

Applications Reported:
Reported for intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of restimulated, Th17-polarized mouse splenocytes using the Intracellular Fixation and Permeabilization Buffer Set (Product # 88-8824-00).
Recommended usage ≤ 0.25 µg/test in 100 µL final volume. Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Staining also compatible with the Foxp3 buffer system (Product # 00-5523-00).

eFluor® 660 replaces Alexa Fluor® 647, emits at 659 nm, excited by 633 nm red laser.
Excitation: 633–647 nm; Emission: 668 nm; Laser: Red.
Filtered through 0.2 µm post-manufacturing.

Target Information

Interleukin-17A (IL-17A, CTLA-8) is a CD4+ T cell-derived cytokine that promotes inflammatory responses. It is elevated in autoimmune and inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, and transplant rejection.
IL-17A forms a 32 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer and signals through IL-17R/CDw217. It regulates NF-kappa B and MAPK pathways, stimulating IL-6 and COX-2 expression and enhancing nitric oxide production.
