Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The CD204 (MSR1) gene encodes class A macrophage scavenger receptors, which include three isoforms (types 1, 2, and 3) generated by alternative splicing. These macrophage-specific trimeric integral membrane glycoproteins are involved in processes such as atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and host defense.

  • Isoforms 1 and 2 mediate endocytosis of modified low-density lipoproteins (LDLs).
  • Isoform 3 does not internalize LDLs and is retained in the endoplasmic reticulum.
  • Isoform 3 may inhibit the function of isoforms 1 and 2, suggesting a regulatory mechanism for scavenger receptor activity.

Diseases associated with MSR1 include Barrett Esophagus and Prostate Cancer.
