Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The CD204 (MSR1) gene encodes class A macrophage scavenger receptors, comprising three isoforms (types 1, 2, and 3) generated by alternative splicing.
These trimeric integral membrane glycoproteins are macrophage-specific and play roles in physiological and pathological processes such as atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and host defense.
- Type 1 and Type 2: Functional receptors mediating endocytosis of modified LDLs.
- Type 3: Retained in the endoplasmic reticulum, unable to internalize LDL, and exerts a dominant negative effect on Type 1 and 2 activity.
Diseases associated with MSR1 include Barrett Esophagus and Prostate Cancer.
