Product Specific Information
- This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.
- This antibody has specificity for Human EPOR/Erythropoietin Receptor.
Target Information
EpoR encodes the erythropoietin receptor, a member of the cytokine receptor family. When erythropoietin binds to this receptor, it activates Jak2 tyrosine kinase, triggering intracellular signaling pathways such as Ras/MAP kinase, PI3K, and STAT transcription factors. The activated receptor supports erythroid cell survival.
Defects in this gene can cause erythroleukemia and familial erythrocytosis. Dysregulation may also affect tumor growth. Multiple transcript variants are produced through alternative splicing.
Diseases associated with EPOR include Erythrocytosis, Familial 1 and Erythroleukemia.
