Product Specific Information

This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:

  • Better specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

This antibody has specificity for Human EPOR.

Target Information

EpoR encodes the erythropoietin receptor, a member of the cytokine receptor family. Upon binding erythropoietin, it activates Jak2 tyrosine kinase, which triggers intracellular pathways including Ras/MAP kinase, PI3K, and STAT signaling. The activated receptor promotes erythroid cell survival.

Defects in this gene can cause erythroleukemia and familial erythrocytosis, while dysregulation may influence tumor growth. Multiple transcript variants exist due to alternate splicing.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
