This antibody recognizes a defined epitope (aa 65–97) on the N-terminal structural domain of alpha-tubulin.
HPB-ALL human peripheral blood leukemia cell line is suggested as a positive control (incubate for 90 mins).
Previously part of Thermo Scientific Cellomics High Content Screening Kits, this replacement antibody is recommended for high content cell-based assays. It has been thoroughly tested and validated for cellular immunofluorescence (IF) applications.
Further optimization, including selection of the most appropriate fluorescent Dylight conjugated secondary antibody, may be required for your high-content assay.

Target Information
Alpha Tubulin is part of a heterodimer consisting of alpha and beta tubulin subunits (~55 kDa each). These heterodimers form microtubules, which serve as structural supports and transport lines within the cell and play a key role in mitosis.
Microtubules are essential components of the eukaryotic cytoskeleton, composed primarily of alpha and beta tubulins, while gamma tubulin is crucial for microtubule nucleation.
The alpha tubulin gene is highly conserved among species and similar to mouse and rat Tuba1 genes. Northern blot studies show expression predominantly in differentiated neurologic cells.
