For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Synaptophysin is a calcium-binding integral membrane glycoprotein located in presynaptic vesicles of nearly all neurons. It has four transmembrane domains and forms complexes with dynamin under high calcium conditions, indicating a role in synaptic vesicle endocytosis. It is involved in regulating both short-term and long-term synaptic plasticity and serves as a key marker for nerve terminals and neuroendocrine tumor differentiation. Mutations in the gene can lead to X-linked mental retardation.
