Product Specific Information

  • Store vial at -20°C prior to opening.
  • Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage.
  • Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
  • Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
  • Product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
  • Dilute only prior to immediate use.
  • Reacts specifically with Rhodamine and its derivatives (isomer 5, isomer 6, TAMRA, TRITC).
  • No reaction is observed against Texas Red.

Target Information

Rhodamine is a family member of the fluorone dyes, including Rhodamine 6G and Rhodamine B. These dyes are commonly used as tracer dyes to study water flow and transport. Rhodamine dyes exhibit fluorescence and can be easily detected using fluorometers. They are widely applied in biotechnology fields such as:
