For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.


Target Information

MAPK3 (ERK1) is a serine/threonine kinase that acts as an important activator of p90, RSK, MSK, ELK1, and Stat3, and plays a key role in the MAPK pathway.
ERK1 is widely expressed and regulates meiosis, mitosis, and post-mitotic functions in differentiated cells.
It is activated by various stimuli including growth factors, cytokines, virus infection, and G protein-coupled receptor ligands.
Functionally, ERK1 participates in signaling cascades controlling proliferation, differentiation, and cell cycle progression.
Activated ERK1 translocates to the nucleus to phosphorylate nuclear targets.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms of ERK1 have been identified.
