Target Information
p53AIP1 (p53-regulated apoptosis-inducing protein 1)은 인간 유전체 DNA에서 p53 결합 서열의 직접 클로닝을 통해 확인된 단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 wild-type p53에 의해 미토콘드리아 내에서 발현이 유도되어 세포 사멸(apoptosis)을 유발합니다.
심각한 DNA 손상은 p53의 Ser-46 위치에서의 인산화를 초래하며, 이는 p53AIP1 발현과 세포 사멸을 유도합니다.
p53AIP1은 p53 의존적 세포 사멸 조절에 중요한 역할을 하며, Ser-46의 인산화는 해당 유전자의 전사 활성화를 조절합니다.
