Product Specific Information

The IP26 monoclonal antibody reacts with the alpha beta chain of human TCR. The alpha beta TCR is expressed by the majority of peripheral T cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells; use at 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test.
A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL.
Cell number should be determined empirically (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Fluorochrome Information:
Alexa Fluor 700 emits at 723 nm and can be excited with the red laser (633–647 nm).
Recommended optical setup: 685 LP mirror and 710/20 band pass filter.

Target Information

The T cell antigen receptor (TCR) consists of a ligand-specific alpha/beta heterodimer associated with invariant CD3 subunits (gamma, delta, eta, zeta). These are essential for surface expression and intracellular signal transduction. TCR activation induces T cell differentiation, proliferation, and cytokine production.

Most human T cells express TCR alpha/beta and either CD4 or CD8 molecules. Gamma/delta T cells are primarily found in epithelial tissues and exhibit distinct antigen recognition.
Defects or mutations in TCR components are associated with autoimmune diseases, immunodeficiency, and tumor-related responses.
